A happy neighbor gives Chris and Kim a shout-out when she compliments the entire Plano, Texas pet center staff:
The staff at your store on Legacy Drive in Plano, Texas always provides the very best service.   I am always greeted upon entering the store, and never fail to get any help or advice I need.  Kim at the register is great, positive and cheerful.  Chris has helped me with advice on changing my dogs diet, and went above and beyond when the food I was feeding was recalled.  Your store manager called to advise me of the recall, and I hung up and thought, "Wow, these people really care about my dog!"   I am a loyal customer and will drive past the other "big box" pet stores to shop at PSP.

Thank you for creating a corporate culture that results in such exceptional service...and my thanks to everyone at PSP in Plano.

Our neighbor in Toledo, OH looked to Brittany at Store #148 when she wasn’t sure about the product she had to purchase for her dog.  Brittany saved the day with her NEIGHBORLY, TRUSTWORTHY, KNOWLEDGEABLE and PET-CENTRIC service!

Brittany knows her paw covers!
I wanted to send a note of appreciation for the great customer service I was given today at the Central Avenue location in Toledo, Ohio.  I was looking for an item for my dog - an item I was not sure where to find or if it was even available.  Brittany approached me asking if I needed help, and she was very positive and friendly when I told her what I wanted.  She took me to the aisle where it was located and luckily there was one left.  It was a bit of a different item and I was a bit embarrassed as I had never had to buy it before (paw covers for my dog due to the extreme cold we were experiencing here).  She completely understood and made me feel at ease.  She took the time to talk to me and was extremely courteous and friendly.  I wanted to pass this on as I feel great customer service such as this should be acknowledged.  I go to this store often and have been very happy with my experiences there.  Thanks again, Brittany!

NEIGHBORLY Service in Owosso, MI Adds Some Light to A Customer's Stressful Day

Our Owosso, Michigan location knows just how much NEIGHBORLY service can brighten even the most stressful kind of day.  This neighbor took the time to write us about her experience, after she nearly lost her husband twice in the operating room the day of her visit:

Part of the Owosso team, celebrating Michigan/
Michigan State Day!
Pet Supplies Plus carries a wide variety of grain-free food.  I need this for my one dog that needs it.  I’d like to tell you about a recent visit, though.  My husband was in the hospital and I was exhausted.  I stopped in and was flustered.  I got to the check-out and had forgotten to get an item.  The cashier ran back and got the item for me.  Your staff has always been exceptional at this store.  No difference today.  The young woman waiting on me just perked me up and made me smile before I left.  I felt like telling her all about my day.  I didn’t because she was busy and there were customers behind me.  But she was so friendly, I almost felt she was someone I could talk to.

Helping a Neighbor in Canton, OH is a great example of NEIGHBORLY service!

Way to go, Brian!
Not only do we act as the voice of the pet in our pet centers, we sometimes have to act as the arms and legs of the pet parents!  Read below to see how Brian in our Canton store made a lasting impression on a neighbor:
Last Monday I went to your store on Cromer Rd. (30th Street Plaza - Canton, Ohio).  As soon as I walked in the door, your employee Brian saw that my arm was in a sling.  After greeting me, he went on to say if there was anything I needed help with... putting things in the cart, etc. taking things out to the car... just let him know.  He was so friendly.  A short time later, he checked with me to see if I needed anything.  He really went above and beyond, and was so terribly nice.  I had just been in Marc's where the check-out man didn't give a darn that I was struggling with my one-arm situation.  How refreshing to go right into PSP and be treated so nicely.

Brooklyn, OH Makes Neighbors Feel like Family!

This neighbor’s note describes the essence of what it means to be America’s Favorite Neighborhood Pet Store.  Pat on the Back to Alyssa and the whole Brooklyn, OH team for creating a NEIGHBORLY, TRUSTWORTHY, KNOWLEDGEABLE and PETCENTRIC environment where this neighbor feels she is “part of the family.”
All the employees are always so nice and professional and always greet you with a smile and ask if they can help in any way. Alyssa has helped me and my husband with her knowledge of fish and her patience trying to explain what to buy and what fish get along with what fish and how to take care of an aquarium when we had no idea what was really involved. She took extra time with us and answered all our questions. She also works as a cashier and she always is smiling and happy and asks how you are and if you found everything ok.
When I leave Pet Supplies Plus I always feel like I am part of their family. It is a fun place to visit and shop! Good Job!

Saatchi is Safe and Sound, Thanks to Quick, PET-CENTRIC Thinking in Marleton, NJ

When a beloved pet runs off, it’s an owner’s worst nightmare.   Marlton’s own Gabi Cheeseman was neighborly, knowledgeable and extremely pet-centric when she jumped in to help our neighbor find her Italian greyhound Saatchi!

On January 22, 2014, I took my three Italian greyhounds to the Pet Clinic for their rabies shots, at your store located on Route 73, Marlton, NJ.  It was the coldest night of the year and upon leaving in the dark, one of my dogs ran away.  The shift supervisor, Gabi Cheeseman, was amazing.  She immediately got help to look for my dog, put together a flyer with all correct information from the store when I checked in, and had the flyer distributed to other stores in shopping center.

Within two hours, my eight-pound Saatchi was found.  It was from Gabi’s flyer that was posted in grocery store that this dreadful event turned into such a happy homecoming.  A stranger followed Saatchi in her car and convinced him to come to her.  She returned to the store and found the flyer.

Gabi is a fabulous employee – she also put the information on Facebook and I had several calls that evening. I will be forever grateful to her for her quick thinking.
Thank you, Gabi!!

Lancaster, PA Neighborhood Event Brings Our Paw Print to Life!

Jenn B. in Lancaster, PA shares her story of a neighborhood event that was organized by her Shift Supervisors. Pat on the Back to Lancaster for designing this KNOWLEDGEABLE and PETCENTRIC neighborhood event!

As a store leader I was impressed with my Shift Supervisor’s most recent event hosted in our pet center. We've discussed that we really need to get on our game with events and how important it will be in these events to really bring our brand and paw print behaviors to life!

Alyssa & Sarah (Shift Leaders) created a neighborhood event which was all about keeping your pet fresh & healthy (how Petcentric & Knowledgeable is that!). They made a flier to hand out to the neighbors to generate interest. On the day of their event, they created a table with many PS+ brand products that could be used in coordination with our pet wash to help keep neighbors pets fresh & healthy. They conducted a tour & explanation of the pet wash room; they gave knowledgeable tips on nail clippings, ear cleaning, and other basic care essentials. They also kept our culture alive by having a celebration that included giveaways funded by pet partners, along with a raffle. Our neighbor’s verbal feedback was great!! They had a lot of fun being there with their pets and learning!!

I wanted to show my appreciation for my shift team leaders and the work they did on their most recent event, that I believe really brought life to our brand along with our paw print behaviors.
