I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to store 53 in Chicago.  Store Team Leader Colin H, and team member Tahany P have gone above and beyond in helping me with all of my pets' needs.  They have done plenty of special ordering for items that I've wanted and have made my fish tanks look incredible.  Their knowledge and expert advice have truly made my shopping trips easy and enjoyable.

Please keep Colin and Tahany as the molds in which you shape your other team members after.  I appreciate their professionalism and service.

Hello,
This evening around 5:31pm, I stopped in your Pet Supplies Plus store on 30th St. N.E. in Canton, Ohio to purchase some puppy food for our new Shih Tzu.  I was slightly uncertain about what brand to purchase as I did not want any ingredients as egg, grains, etc.  Your salesman by the name of Nick helped me tremendously - very informative - took the time to explain the differences in brands. It was refreshing for a clerk to be so professional and friendly. Not all sales clerks are created equal.  It was truly a pleasant experience.

Winning the Heart of a Young Pet Lover in Berkeley Heights, NJ

Winning the hearts and loyalty of our young neighbors is important for our long-term success! This note from an 11-year old neighbor warmed our hearts.  The PETCENTRIC NEIGHBORHOOD adoption events and fun shopping experience keeps Jake craving Pet Supplies Plus!

Dear Mr. Bolen:

Hi! My name is Jake Deluca and I am an 11 year old boy who goes to William Woodruff School in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.

Pet Supplies Plus is my favorite store to buy my cat’s food, cat litter, and toys. Whenever my mom says I have to get cat litter, I jump right in the car. Whenever I am at Pet Supplies Plus, I am either looking at the pets or asking my mom to buy me a pet for me.

I have a Pet Supplies Plus near my mom. I go to it all the time. The prices are really reasonable that’s why I go there. I also know a lot of people who go to Pet Supplies Plus. I love when the store does adoption day on Sunday. When we go to adoption day, I ask my mom if I can adopt another animal. But she says no, we already have two cats. Pet Supplies Plus is awesome.

NEIGHBORLY Service in San Antonio, TX

Hey, Dale and Molly!
Pat on the Back to Molly and Dale for making a regular dog food purchase, an experience to remember for this neighbor!  After shopping at the pet center the neighbor sent in this note:

Two individuals stood out with exceptional customer service.  Molly, an associate, proactively offered to get out a pet for my twin (2 1/2 year olds) to interact with. She was very nice and interacted in a professional way that made them excited to be at the store.  Additionally, the male store manager (don’t know his name) was also very service driven. Offering to carry the dog food (30lbs) for me from the aisle, to the register, to the car and also helped with the twins.

I work for a company that demands exceptional customer service.  I’m use to providing that level of service to others but this was “THE FIRST TIME” to receive the same in return.  Refreshing!  Who knew that buying dog food would be this cool? Kudos to these two employees for representing Pet Supplies Plus to the highest!

NEIGHBORLY Events Galore!

Pet Centers are making their mark in their neighborhood by hosting, sponsoring and providing donations to ensure pets in their area are well fed and cared for. 

Pat on the Back for organizing these NEIGHBORLY and TRUSTWORTHY events.  These community partnership are a great way to drive our business by bringing in new neighbors and gaining the loyalty of our current.

Jen in Portage, MI presenting Director Jack Frost and Board Member Jill Murphy of Animal Rescue Project in Kalamazoo with a check for $2,163.00 in their Adoption Drive.

West Springfield, MA (#9015) held a 2-day adoption event that resulted in over $600 to donate to local charities and 2 trucks filled of product to donate!

Nichole at #8018, in Goldsboro, NC is feeding Leo, who currently lives with a foster family after being rescued from the local shelter by Diamonds in the Ruff.  This event raised money and awareness for the local shelter.

NEIGHBORLY Service in Amherst NY (#134)

Ashley and Jeanine’s PETCENTRIC actions made a first-time neighbor’s shopping experience at Pet Supplies Plus one that she and her poodle, Ling Ling, will never forget. Check out this great note!

I spoke to Ashley on the phone and inquired about sweaters with harness holes.  She said you had several styles and that I should come in with my dog for sizing and looks them over.  I was thrilled because they are hard to find.

Then she helped me in the store.  She even held my apricot toy poodle, Ling Ling, while I looked over the merchandise.  Then I wanted a pink step in harness (great selection) and she helped me and then with rawhide.

Jeanine took care of me at the register.  She had stepped away from the register when there were no customers to introduce herself to my dog and get kisses.  She suggested I get a store card for additional savings and I saved $18! 

Both women made a huge fuss over Ling Ling, accepting her kisses, talking to her and petting her.  Even a few customers came up to us to say hello to my little poodle.

These two employees went out of the way to assist me in my first time shopping here.   If all the employees are this good, I will love shopping here.
The attentiveness and knowledge of Ashley and Jeanine combined with your wonderful selection of sweaters with harness holes, step in harnesses (also hard to find) and rawhide made my shopping experience wonderful.  I want to return to the store!

Bella Loves the NEIGHBORLY Service in Dallas, TX

Hey, Nolan!
Pat on the backs to Nolan, Blake and the rest of the team in Dallas, TX for the NEIGHBORLY service provided. In fact, this neighbor states it was the BEST service he has ever received…I am sure Bella feels the same way!

I am writing today to describe my experience in your store located on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, TX. I am doing so because I do not believe that I have ever received finer customer service anywhere that I have ever been. I do not say this lightly, nor am I exaggerating. I am 44 years old, and what I experienced today in your store was exemplary. This was my first visit to your store, and I will be buying everything that I need for my pets here from now on.

I brought in Bella. She is a 110 lb. Italian Mastiff who received so much care and affection from your store that I am truly scared that she is now spoiled. Nolan was an absolute star. He provided me with excellent advice on the dog food I purchased. I was not familiar with the brand, but he explained it to me with the knowledge of a professional. After reading reviews online of the brand that he helped me select, I am delighted at his choice. He also went out of his way to be friendly to both myself and my dog. We discussed buying a collar as well, but decided to keep the one that Bella came in with. Not only did he help me purchase a tag, he also stayed around for the difficult task of fastening it to a collar. Blake was there as well offering added support and friendliness. These two should be commended for their excellence.

Both of these guys are outstanding employees, and generally wonderful people. The rest of the staff, are kind as well as courteous and helpful. Your management team is obviously doing something right here in providing an atmosphere that makes this place a joy to shop in.

A NEIGHBORLY Act of Kindness Creates a Memorable Experience in Kalamazoo, MI

Irene’s NEIGHBORLY gesture delights a neighbor.  Acts like this earn us the title of America’s Favorite Neighborhood Pet Store. Pat on the back to Irene for authentically going above and beyond.

I have shopped with you for about ten years now and am always happy with how friendly and helpful your staff are.  I generally shop at the store on Westnedge in Portage Michigan, but yesterday was on Gull Road in Kalamazoo and ran in to get some much needed supplies for my daughter’s pet rat.  I was again happy with the friendliness of your staff, but felt that one particular staff member, Irene, went above and beyond.  I had asked her about purchasing a bottle of water for myself and she pointed to a machine by the front of the store that takes cash.  When I told her I did not have cash, she offered to lend me money for a bottle of water.  I did not take her up on this, but was very impressed with the willingness of a perfect stranger to offer to loan me money for a bottle of water.  This is definitely an experience that will keep me shopping at your business for years to come!
